Longitude Engineering is a marine engineering consultancy involved in specialist design and engineering services in the marine, energy and defence markets. The business is a sister company within the LOC group, a long standing client for Firedog.

Creation of the Longitude website for all devices

The site represents a big step up for the Longitude business. First of all, it incorporates a greatly enhanced division of content according to market needs, design, operations and case studies. Furthermore, it was important that the site aided the understanding of both service lines and related case studies. Therefore, we ensured that  these custom post types communicated the businesses capabilities and offerings clearly and succinctly.

The design features large hotspots which make navigating the key areas of the site on the go much easier

The website carefully caters for all devices and the design adapts to the context of the user experience. Therefore, we ensured key areas of the site contained visible navigable points of entry into the site using large UX buttons wherever possible.

The website follows a period of brand development for Longitude. We had brought the visual identity under the fold of LOC, using the same visual identity system albeit with a differentiated colour palette, image treatment and language. As a result, the website became a natural next step for the business.
