Design studio jobWe are looking for a brand designer / creative who is currently working in a branding agency, who feels perhaps that their current business lacks a bit of future vision. We combine old school branding skills with new digital thinking. We work with pioneering clients in the technology, media, education and venture capital sectors.

Our culture is “A breed apart”. We make a point of differing ourselves from the usual suspects and bring a fresh agenda to the world of brand design and creation. We couple this energetic creativity with a sense of authenticity and a truly genuine nature. We are not pretentious. We just like to push ourselves with our eyes firmly on the future of creativity. We’re also not that into minimal, we like a bit of energy and breaking rules and formulas (All in the constrains of good design though).

We only work with a handful of projects at any one time, with great care and focused attention. We have a few solid clients, but you will have the chance to work on a great range of work.

Desired Skills & Experience

  • A brain – You have to think strategically. Both our brand and digital work is wrapped in a cocoon of intelligent and sound thinking.
  • Be creative – More than just a designer, you have to have ideas and an almost childish fascination with creating new ideas
  • Experience – We would like a minimum of five years experience in only creative agencies please.
  • Relevancy – We produce brand identities from scratch, visual identity systems, brand look and feel, branded digital media such as responsive websites, microsites and HTML5 apps, technology software products, UX and game interfaces, strategy and research. We’d like someone with experience in these areas. You will be working alongside other digital staff and we’re mostly interested in your brand and design capabilities. No coding or development is required.
  • Pen and Paper – We might be all nu-school – But we do still value the power of the creative process, you should love to sketch and create ideas in the rawest form
  • Skills – We’d like you to be adept in Indesign, Photoshop and Illustrator. We’d love you to bring additional skills to the mix, in particular 3D, animation and post production, if you can.
  • Digital experience – Whilst we are up for evolving your digital experience, it would be advantageous for you to have some digital experience – And certainly a stomach for growing rapidly in this area
  • Some UX – A lot of digital experience is built on the principals of good design; We expect you to be fantastic in layout, typography and art direction.
