One good turn deserves another…
The suns out… finally! And that means pimms and lemonade, smiley, happy people and lunches in the park. Hoxton Square is our little lunchtime patch of choice. If your timing is perfect, you can get a spot on the left side – the bit with more rays and more grass.
Wednesday was a lovely day. The Square was buzzing with cool Hoxton folk, cute pups and even an acrobat in one corner (oddly). We were merrily enjoying our healthy salads and planning weekend shopping trips – as you do – when we noticed an abandoned handbag in the middle of the park – I did mention that pimms was a feature!
In the hope that the bag would be remembered and subsequently retrieved, we looked over at it from time to time, on-guard like little jack russells, to ensure the owner was collecting it. This never happened, so being the good Samaritans we are, we risked looking like common thieves, meekly walked over, picked it up and took it back to the office.
Luckily it had a bunch of business cards so we were able to contact the owner and tell her where to come get her bag. Turns out she’s a creative soul- like us. Lovely girl – if not a bit absent-minded! She sent us some interesting and funky brooches to say thank you and we think they’re quite cool. Have a look at the picture below.
