Firedog have just cracked the new brand and web design for Jiglu, with a successful launch at the renowned US Technology global launch pad,Techcrunch.
The brand has been built around the naming concept of Jiglu – jigsaw + glue, which sums up exactly what Jiglu’s super smart new web technology does; it pieces web content together with automatic tags and links. Firedog created a strong tag line to convey the key idea that not only is the technology automatic, it is also intelligent. Jiglu understands and works out the most important topics in your web content to create the most relevant tags. ‘Tags that think’ communicates this idea of intelligence through a memorable sound bite in a warm but direct way.
Firedog also created the identity for Jiglu’s community product, naming it the ‘Jigluhood,’ playing on the idea of a neighbourhood of friendly community spaces that are really easy to get to know. Powered by Jiglu’s tags that think technology means that all members’ content is automatically organised and presented with direct feeds keeping you fully up-to-date with what’s going on. This makes content really easy to find, and all the thinking done for you.
The new web design look and feel, and messaging has been created to educate new users about how easy Jiglu’s technology is to use – both the tagging widget that can be installed into a blog or site, and the community spaces too. The key aim was encouraging new sign ups and we reliably informed that this is exactly what is happening with the new brand and web design in place! So what does Nigel Cannings, the CEO of Jiglu have to say about it all…?
‘The launch of the new brand was a storming success! We are capitalising on all the new users as we speak. Firedog’s contribution to all of this has been outstanding – you were firm where you needed to be firm, and flexible where the process merited it. We are really pleased with the end result.’
See the new brand and find out more about the Jiglu’s web 2.0 technology on Jiglu’s site or take a look at a blog with the Jiglu widget installed. For the Jigluhood, some of our web designs are still to be implemented – so continue to watch this space!
