Strike a pose

Digital engineers in Barcelona have taken the Microsoft Kinect system to a whole new level. They have created an installation that allows tourists to literally become their own souvenirs.

The motion sensor captures the subject as they strike a pose – then transfers the image to a 3D printer to capture the moment in 360 degree detail. The result – a tiny tangible memory of a trip down Las Ramblas. What a fantastic use of gaming technology used in a much more creative way.
